  • Mein Funkgerät sendet plötzlich nicht mehr. Der Schalter am Lautsprechermikron hat auch keine Funktion mehr. Was kann ich tun ?

  • Die Eingangsschutzschaltung des Gerätes hat nach Einstrahlung auf die Mikrofonleitung ausgelöst.

  • For which reason is screw below the antenna jack ?
Answer
  • For Grounding. A single insulated wire counterpoise is needed for efficient transmitting. The counterpoise should be elevated above the earth if possible when operating portable. The counterpoise may be dragged along the ground for Pedestrian Mobile operation. The counterpoise wire may remain connected to the radio, placed in a pack pocket while receiving.
    It is possible to transmit without a counterpoise, or with the counterpoise in the pocket, but the effective radiated power (ERP) will be much lower (-20db to
    -6db dependent on frequency).
    You should connect a different counterpoise to the VX-1210, depending upon the frequency.
    Recommended wire length:
    • 12-30MHz = 10ft (3m)
    • 5-12MHz = 20ft (6m)
    • 1.6-5MHz = 40ft (12m)
    You may risk your radio, if you dont have a good grounding. You may receive a defect as descibed in the question above.
