Description
Models HMN9752, HMN9727, and HMN9754 Surveillance Earpieces can be used to maintain privacy while a conversation is taking place between two-way portable radios. They can be used where noise levels are high and difficult to hear from the radio speaker. These surveillance earpieces are designed to be used in environment such as: retail security, Sports and theme park security, parking lot/garage security, and airport security. An accessory plug clamp (HLN8096 for GP300, P110, and Triton Marine radios; and FLN8660 for GTX and LTS 2000 portable radios) is available and can be ordered separately to ensure secure connection into the accessory jack of the radio.
Procedure
When these surveillance earpieces are plugged into the into the accessory jack of the radio, the internal speaker in radio is disabled and the receive audio is switched to the earpiece. Refer to the appropriate accessory plug clamp instruction sheet for proper procedures to insert the accessory and clamp into the radio.

All surveillance earpieces can easily be rnodified to be used on the right or left ear.

  1. Gently remove (pull) the rubber eartip frorn the earpiece and rotate the plastic earloop.
  2. Gently replace the rubber eartip to the earpiece.
When replacing the earpiece:
  1. Rernove earloop and eartip, if applicable.
  2. To remove the earpiece, hold it firmly in one hand while pulling on the tiny plug on the end of the cord.
  3. Place new earpiece on connector and reassemble.
HMN9752 Only
The HMN9752 Surveillance Earpiece includes a volume control rotary style switch with a clip that can be secured to a shirt pocket, a belt, or a beltloop, etc. The volurne control switch can increase or decrease the volume that is received through the earpiece.
HMN9754 Only
The HMN9754 Surveillance Earpiece w/Push-to-Talk(PTT) Microphone accessory has concealable features. The HMN9754 has 2 cords - one that attaches to the cormector securing the accessory to the radio, and one for the microphone. The cord for the rnicrophone is long enough to slip underneath the sleeve of a shirt,jacket, or other clothing covering. The microphone operates with a PTT switch and is srnall enough to fit into palrn and can be concealed by closing the the hand. The microphone also has a clip to secure it to a collar of a shirt, jacket, etc.
